I’m Jamie, a people-centered business developer with over a decade of experience connecting creatives with community support and funding.

Hello.

Hi.

How do you do?

I care about learning your story, and here’s a little more about mine too.

This could be us btw.

Playfully in the garden, with bad apples in our hands, in our best babydoll dresses, and scheming the next big thing.

Daisies, 1966, Věra Chytilová.

I bring a unique blend of people-centered leadership to revenue generation strategy, creative campaign direction, and brand and partnership management. All approached with a big heart and great taste in art.

I got my career start at Milwaukee Film, where I served as the Operations Director leading people-centered infrastructure projects and supporting the administration of a capital campaign that grew the 15-day film festival into the year-round operator of the historic Oriental Theatre (Before & After). At that time, I was so proud to hold an industry pass to the Arthouse Convergence Conference and Sundance Film Festival. One summer, I even caught a flight to Argentina and attended the Mar del Plata International Film Festival just for fun; My love for great cinema runs deep (365 movie girl).

Today, I’ve circled back to stewarding creative community in a historic entertainment venue with Skylight Music Theatre. The Cabot Theatre is a hidden gem in Milwaukee’s Third Ward neighborhood (ranked Top 10 art districts in the US). In my current role as Director of Development, I am proud to introduce more folks to its beauty, and keep our 5-mainstage musicals and education programs fully funded at $3.1M. My day to day involves everything from non-profit philanthropic appeals and transactional sponsorship deals, to brand collaborations, to stewarding single ticketholder to subscriber to donor journeys, to guest services and hospitality, to advising creative or writing copy for social media, print and digital… and lots lots more. I can show you around our financials to see the proof in our bottom line, give you access to our rehearsal spaces and green rooms to meet cast and crew members, or bring you to our high school musical celebration to cheer on the young people of our city as music theatre transforms their lives. And by the way, my theatre is proud of our connections between Broadway and film. We are presently celebrating James Ortiz’s work in Project Hail Mary, after featuring his work and fantastic puppets in our very own production of Candide.

Did I mentioned that I’m also a past visual arts curator and organizer in artist-run spaces? Peek a few shows here. If you ask me nicely, I may advise on contemporary artist collaborations.

So, there you have it. You can call me a triple-threat having worked across film, performing arts, and visual arts industries. My silver thread: I do my best work weaving relationships between creatives and appreciators to breathe life into big campaigns, get art spaces and projects funded, and spotlight great art.

Give me a call to connect. I’d love to hear from you and see what creative project we can work through next.

xx Jamie

Until then, keep dancing.
